- The Caltech/MIT Voting Technology Project offers research articles on all areas of voting technology, include early and absentee voting methods.
- The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) works to ensure Service members, their eligible family members, and overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so – from anywhere in the world. FVAP administers the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) on behalf of the U.S. Secretary of Defense. Information such as reports to Congress, supporting survey data, and general research reports of interest can be found in the Reports and Survey’s section of the FVAP site.
- The MIT Election Data and Science Lab (MEDSL) aims to improve the democratic experience for all U.S. voters by applying scientific principles to how elections are studied and administered.
- The National Association of Election Officials (NAEO) | Election Center’s mission is to promote and support continuous improvement in the administration of elections and voter registration through research, professional education, conferences, networking and consulting.
- The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) has information on election administration and Secretary of State contact information.
- The National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) is a nonpartisan professional organization that disseminates election administration best practices and information across the states. NASED’s members are Election Directors from across the country.
- The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) completes biennial surveys titled the Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS) that include data on changes in early and absentee voting.

- The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Early In-Person Voting webpage provides up-to-date information on the early voting laws in all 50 states, U.S. territories and DC.
- The Pew Trusts Non-Precinct Place Voting (NPPV) webpage provides links to seven research projects on NPPV and its consequences.
